Our
Vision

Our vision is rooted in the belief that the power to effect meaningful change lies within the hands of the youth. We see a Nigeria where young people are at the forefront of the climate movement, driving innovative solutions, shaping policies, and inspiring transformative action. We envision a generation that is empowered, informed, and actively engaged in climate advocacy, influencing decision-makers and demanding a sustainable future.

Many young people are genuinely concerned about the environment and the future of our planet, but often struggle to see how their individual actions can make a tangible difference. This feeling of helplessness can lead to apathy and disengagement, hindering our collective ability to address the climate crisis effectively.

At Preserve Our Roots, we recognize that overcoming this sense of powerlessness is essential for nurturing a generation of empowered and informed climate advocates. We aim to address this challenge through the solutions of : Empowerment through Education, Hands-On Engagement, and Community Collaboration.

Engage Yourself

Let us be the world's keeper, bring positive change into your community and let us save our planet together.

Donating to our ongoing fundraisers

Active participation is an essential part of our movement’s success. Donating to our various ongoing fundraisers is a great way to give back to your community, support the climate movement, connect with your local community, and spread the importance of our mission. Wether it is an old novel, a pair of shoes, cans of food, or even old furniture. Donating does not only limit waste, but it also improves the lives of many who are struggling in your immediate surroundings. Go to our donation page for more information.

Beach clean-ups

Another way you can get involved is to join one of our bi-weekly beach clean-ups in Lagos, Nigeria. However, if you are not in the area or can not make any of the days - it is highly encouraged that you take up the initiative yourself to clean up any of your community beaches or public areas! Send pictures with the #preserveourroots to get featured on our blogs or page.
